Just when things were looking up, and after our big announcement about taking the family to the Philippines, I end up hurting my knee badly playing hockey last night. And let me tell you, the timing couldn’t be worse.

I’m in a lot of pain, and there’s so much I had planned for the upcoming week. Now, I’m here, incredibly frustrated, wondering how I’m going to manage everything from barely being able to move. It feels like life just threw a massive curveball at me.

To add to it all, tonight was supposed to be our rare date night. Troy and I have been looking forward to stepping out and enjoying a night together at a family wedding. It’s something we’ve been needing, a little time just for us, and I’m determined to tough it out. Despite the pain, I don’t want us to miss out on these moments that are so rare for us.
