In this video I demonstrate how to take a manual blood pressure on yourself. I show how to hold and manage all the equipment to make the process easier as you are learning the skill of taking a manual blood pressure. It is an essential skill for anyone in the healthcare field including nursing students, medical students, paramedic students or any seasoned healthcare professional. Once you have mastered how to take a manual blood pressure with a sphygmomanometer, you can feel confident that you are obtaining accurate blood pressure measurements since it is a more reliable method of taking a blood measure than with an electronic device.
