Many Dungeon Masters/game masters will run a preliminary session that's focused purely on character creation and setting expectations, and I absolutely agree that this will typically make your RPG campaign more cohesive and fun. In this video, I run through the stepbystep process I use for my intro sessions, as well as a couple of general guidelines that will hopefully help other GMs get the most out of theirs.
