What to use on dry paw pads and ears

Just like human skin, paw pads can get dry and chapped in the winter time. My apartment is fully carpeted and the air is pretty dry even though i have a humidifier in every room. So to prevent my cat Deku's paw pads from being chapped, i bought a paw pad moisture stick to help moisturize her paw pads =)
At the beginning of winter, Deku's ears also developed dry patches. She would constantly scratch her ears because it was so dry that her ears would become red and flaky. I asked my vet and she suggested i put coconut oil on her ears. After a week of applying coconut oil twice a day on her ears, the dry patches disappeared.

I hope these methods may also help your pets get through winter time so that they wont have to suffer chapped paws or dry skin =)
