Whether you’re a pro gamer, a streamer, or even just a normal silver scrub, it’s important to have boundaries between your work and the rest of your life.

But what if your job was your life? And what if the way you had fun was by doing a fake version of your job?

Meet threetime Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen, who isn’t satisfied with only leaving the world’s best in the dust on the physical track, he needs to destroy you on the digital one, too.

But how did we get here? Why is Verstappen so addicted to sim racing if he dominates what many consider the ultimate version of the real thing? Could it be that it actually does help him stay practiced?

And should we really be surprised that such an avid gamer has the occasional…heated gamer moment?
