When I released my first hockey stop tutorial three years ago, I received a lot of great feedback, but also a lot of questions from skaters who were still struggling to stop on ice. By far the two most common problems people were still have with stopping were:
1. Skating a curve instead of stopping, and
2. The back leg hanging/getting caught in the ice.
In this video, I show you what causes these two most common problems when doing a hockey stopping, and of course, also how to fix them, so that you can come to a stop with ease!
