Streamed 7th May 2024. Grey Herons nesting at Stocker’s Lake, Herts, UK. Three eggs all hatched between March 9th and 11th but one chick perished on March 17th. A second one died overnight on May 3rd/4th and its corpse is still in the nest throughout this stream. Meanwhile the third chick is now fully fledged but still around the nest.

Today the stream starts at 6.31am as usual. Between 10.08 and 10.11 the chick disappears (slightly) off camera to the right. This is the first time he has headed in that direction.
