Flexible shaft and drain chains clearing tuberculation

Follow
Plumber TOOLS

Tuberculation and limescale build up are difficult to remove with a jetter or rooter machine. With a Sewer & Drain Knocker Chain attached to the end of your shaft, you can clean pipework at the rate of 1 meter in 30 seconds (6,5 feet per minute).

The same tools are perfect for removing failed liner installations. Some Sewer & Drain Knocker Chains have drill heads mounted to the front specifically for this purpose.

The flexible shaft is designed to reach obstacles in tight working environments whilst spinning at speeds ranging from 5003500 RPM.

The shaft spins in a selfcontained heat and chemical resistant housing, which makes it safer, and cleaner to use than a rooter cable.

With the correct drain cleaning chain attached, your flexible shaft will outperform a high pressure jetting machine since it has the capacity to remove tuberculation and lime scale build up within seconds.

Since the flexible shaft is contained in a protective sleeve, you could use a drain inspection camera simultaneously to see your progress in real time.

The best part is that the flexible shafts require no maintenance, and unlike a rooter, the shaft is not affected by vibration.

Here is a question. How many call outs will it take before this equipment has paid for itself?

If you consider the time this equipment will save when clearing lime scale or tuberculation, you will probably agree that this tool is a very good investment.

Use your power drill, to clean drains faster than a jetter or rooter .

If your drill has a slip clutch (torque limiter), and variable speed, you can connect our hex shank adapter to your drill.

Depending on your choice of cable, the adapter will allow you to mount a 6mm (0.23”) , 8mm (0.31″) ,10mm (0.39″) & 12mm (0.47″) flexible shaft to the adapter using set screws.

Simply mount one of our adjustable drain cleaning chains to the end of the flexible shaft, and you can obliterate stoppages like roots, lime scale, tuberculation and even solid cement at the rate of 1 meter in 30 seconds.

Some drain chains are made for descaling pipes, whilst others are made for grinding and cutting. We even have chains that are designed to clean scale from PVC pipes or pipes which have been damaged.

The chains are made from stainless steel for low radial backlash , and the teeth are made from carbide bits, to prevent oxidization.

Our tools are lightweight and compact, so you can take them with you into an elevator, or transport them in a standard vehicle.

So what is the big deal?
We manufacture quality sewer and drain cleaning tools in Finland, and deliver them directly to you.

Few important things to remember:

Please be sure to lubricate your flexible shaft before the first use, and then check the lubrication every few weeks. This not only ensures the longevity of your shaft, but also makes it more efficient over longer distances. Our preference for lubricant is basic machine oil. Here is a video we made on how to lubricate your shaft:    • How to lubricate your flexible shaft ...

Feel free to choose between a corded or a cordless drill, but make sure not to use the hammer action function on the drill because it can cause damage to your shaft.

With a flexible shaft you will be using less than 3% of the water you would need to get the same result with a hydro jetting machine. Imagine the amount of water you will save by using a flexible shaft.

Important note: We manufacture our own brand of shafts, and by chance our clients started adapting them to their Ridgid K102 or K204 sewer cleaning machines. They also informed us that our flexible shafts are a bit more rigid than the Ridgid flexshafts. We do not claim that we have a replacement shaft for a Ridgid Flexshaft.
