WHAT IS HUNCHBACK POSTURE?
Hunchback posture is when your upper back starts to round too much, making you look like you're constantly hunched over. The medical term would be “thoracic kyphosis” which simply refers to the area of your back that’s affected and the direction it’s curving.

WHAT CAUSES HUNCHBACK POSTURE?
Developing this posture can happen for different reasons, like slouching all the time, having muscle imbalances, or even because of spine problems. It’s a problem that’s becoming more and more prevalent as more people are spending more time looking at laptops, tablets, and phones.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF HUNCHBACK POSTURE?
Having a hunchback posture can be a real pain, literally! Your neck, shoulders, and lower back can get all achy and strained because of the excessive rounding of your upper back. It can even mess up your breathing if it's really bad. Plus, let's not forget about the selfesteem factor. When you're always slouched over, it's hard not to feel selfconscious about it and it can really affect how you feel about yourself.

HOW TO TREAT HUNCHBACK POSTURE
The best way to correct your posture and straighten up your spine is by taking a fourstep approach…

1. Mobilize the area of the spine that is curved
2. Stretch the muscles of the chest and shoulders
3. Strengthen the muscles of the back
4. Environmental corrections to maintain better posture

In this video, I’ll present a simple, 10minute routine you can do right at home to straighten up your posture and eliminate this “hunchback” appearance! Follow right along with the video and remember it took a lot of time to develop this posture so it will take a lot of effort to correct it.

Come back daily and perform this routine and I know that you’ll see improvement!
