There has been a lot of interest in the business aspect of flower farming, so I thought I would share my insights into accounting. This is part 1 of a 5 part series where I will give an overview of different accounting topics to help you on your farming journey.

This video is all about bookkeeping the process of recording your financial transactions.

Some key things to consider for bookkeeping:
setting up a business bank account
choosing an accounting method (cash vs. accrual)
using accounting software to keep good records
reconciling your accounts

The next video in the series is all about financial statements. But remember, you can't have good financial statements if you aren't doing your bookkeeping.
