When I ask students what they think of Sigmund Freud’s ideas they typically respond with "He’s just weird!" But rather than dismiss the theory out of hand, the challenge is to use your psychological knowledge to critically analyse and explain your objections, beyond statements such as ‘he was on cocaine’! So how do you evaluate the Psychodynamic Approach?
