Phatthalung (พัทลุง) We are in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), a lush and beautiful province in southern Thailand, and one of my favorites. One afternoon we decided to stop by Lung Nuay Natural Farm (สวนลุงนวย : ศูนย์เรียนรู้เกษตรผสมผสานตามปณิธานพ่อหลวง), a farm where they grow a diverse amount of fruits and vegetables in an organic and natural farming way.

You can visit the farm and walk around, and they also have a coffee shop, where they make fresh juices and snacks, and also sell some of their fresh produce.

There were some of the highlights of exotic fruit at the farm:

Antidesma Thwaitesianum (มะเม่า/หมากเม่า ma mao, or mak mao in Thai) These are the ma mao berries I tried at the beginning of the video. They are very sour and almost taste like cranberries.

Long pepper (Piper longum) This is a favorite of mine, I love all varieties of pepper and long pepper has a pepper taste with almost a sweet berry taste at the same time. And that spice will build!

Salacca (snake fruit) Finally, it never gets old to see snake fruit growing on the palm tree. It’s just such a spiky dangerous looking tree and fruit, and yet the inside is so juicy and sweet.

When you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง) or Trang (it’s on the border of Trang), it’s worth stopping by if you love organic and exotic Thai fruits and vegetables.
