TURKEY SHEPHERD'S PIE
1 lb ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
2 cups brown gravy (I only used 1 and it was perfect)
8 slices American cheese (we used 2 cups shredded cheddar)
4 cups mashed potatoes (I used 4 potatoes and it was perfect)
Laura suggested adding a drained can of peas and carrots
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown turkey and onion over medium high heat until cooked through. * added salt & pepper, Auntie Nono's seasoning blend, and 2 tbsp minced garlic.* Once cooked thru, add peas and carrots if you desire. Drain turkey if needed.
Place turkey into greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Top with brown gravy, cheese, and finally mashed potatoes. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
