Most of the cooling unit conversion kits from J. C. Refrigeration use a universal controller that replaces the NorCold factory dome light with a motion sensor light which frankly leaves a lot to be desired. This video shows how to replace the factory normally open switches with normally closed ones from Amazon. As a bonus it powers the NorCold factory fans in both the freezer and fridge.
This mod “may” also work on nonNorCold units.
