Doug only enacts chaos on the tiniest scale. Here he is with a sponge he stole having the time of his life. We suspect Doug is a low content wolfdog.

Doug is an angel. In comparison to Indigo and other wolfdogs, his behavior is picture perfect. We worry a bit that he is so constrained because he is scared to act out; he's extremely skittish around new people and if we ever raise our voices at all in the house he'll run away and cower. While we don't want to encourage bad behavior, we do want him to know what it is to be a wolfdog, or even just a dog. So we've taken to letting him enjoy what we call "mild Doug chaos".

So far, he's gently torn apart a roll of paper towels (literally one sheet at a time), and will occasionally steal an item, only to prance around with it in his mouth for a few seconds until he decides he's just gotten too crazy.

This sponge was on the counter and apparently smelled too exciting to resist. The fact that he's so joyful about a sponge proves that he just might be the purest good in the world.
