Dr. B discusses her thoughts on whether or not a PRP injection is worth it. It's one of her patients' most commonly asked questions when they come into the office.

PRP stands for plateletrich plasma. It's a process that uses the body's own healing mechanisms, isolates it, and reintroduces it in hopes of improving healing and reducing pain. Dr. B will dive into how PHP is produced and what happens when you go into the doctor's office to get one of these injections.

Also, discover why it's so difficult to get great peerreviewed studies on the efficacy of PHP injections. Get Dr. B's expertise on what PRP is helpful and unhelpful for based on the studies and her experience.

But at the end of the day, PRP is a bandaid, just like we've talked about in past videos with surgery in some cases or cortisone injections. If you aren't figuring out why your body broke down in the first place, you aren’t addressing the underlying problem. Then, you’ll just end up back where you started.
