As expected, our dog was the only poodle in a class full of german shepherds! But she definitely held her own. Most people don't realize that a standard poodle is very intelligent, second only to the border collie according to the AKC website.

And poodles were originally bred for hunting, so dog tracking is very natural for them.

Dan enjoyed the class as much as Lacey did. It's very rewarding to see how quickly dogs learn to pick up and follow a scent with consistent time spent out in the field doing dog tracking.

The instructor is Lori Janikowski PeperRucks of Sunshine Kennels and k9 Training in Luck, WI. I can't say enough about her expertise in all aspects of dog training.
