A class is a template for creating objects in a programming language. It defines the characteristics and behaviors of a particular type of object, and allows us to create multiple objects of that type with the same characteristics and behaviors. Classes are a key concept in objectoriented programming, and are used to represent realworld objects or abstract concepts in code. For example, we might create a class called "Enemy" to represent an enemy character in a video game, or a class called "Shape" to represent various geometric shapes in a graphics application. Each object created from a class is called an instance of that class. Classes can also inherit characteristics and behaviors from other classes, allowing us to create a hierarchy of related objects.
GDScript is a highlevel, dynamically typed programming language used to create content. It uses a syntax similar to Python (blocks are indentbased and many keywords are similar). Its goal is to be optimized for and tightly integrated with Godot Engine, allowing great flexibility for content creation and integration.
