The Critical Connect Universal Battery is a wireless battery pack that will provide true freedom while working and eliminates the need for cables and wires in your workspace.

Compatible with most rotary tattoo machines, the Critical Connect Universal Battery has a balanced, ergonomic and lightweight design with a crisp OLED display and precise voltage. It will offer up to 10+ hours of running time and a voltage output of between 4.5 and 13 V.

The next evolution of Critical's Universal Battery utilises Bluetooth 5.0 and Critical Core technology, which was created for consistent power and extreme accuracy. It also features jumpstart assist for large needle groupings and hardstarting machines, as well as Continuous and Momentary modes that control the ON/OFF function of the battery pack.

These clever wireless battery packs are built with Critical Core technology to ensure consistent power & accuracy. They’re compatible with several other gadgets from the brand & come in either 3.5 mm or RCA connections, with your choice of standard and Shorty options.

Starting with the fullsized Critical Connect Universal Battery. Available in RCA or 3.5 millimetre connections, it has a sleek cylindrical design , which is just 61 by 30.5 millimetres, weighs just under 57 grams & is easily barrier wrapped. It fits neatly onto most rotary tattoo machine without adding too much weight or backwards drag, and alleviates the hassle of using a wire. The pack features a crisp OLED display that shows voltage down to one decimal point, as well as the current battery level.

This powerful battery has a voltage range of 4.5 to 13 Volts which can be adjusted in 0.1 Volt increments using the plus and minus buttons. The standard Universal Battery provides up to 10 hours of tattooing time, depending on the machine & cartridge configuration & with the jumpstart assist feature, even the toughest motors & largest needle groupings will work with ease. Power can be preserved during downtime by putting the pack into sleep mode – just hit the home button twice to enter standby, then double tap again to wake it up.

The Critical Connect Universal Battery also comes in a Shorty form, measuring in at just under 51 millimetres tall & weighing only 42.5 grams. The run time is shorter at around 5 hours, but if weight & size are your biggest concerns, the Shorty might be the right choice for you.

Other than that, the Shorty has all the same features as the standard Universal Battery & is available with your choice of RCA or 3.5 millimetre connection, the latter of which is perfect for use with Cheyenne tattoo machines.

You can connect up to 4 of these batteries with the Foot Switch, so you won’t need to pair and unpair every time you switch out your battery to charge.

Attach the Critical Connect Universal Battery to the Foot Switch by turning the Battery pack on & holding the plus and minus buttons for three seconds until the Bluetooth symbol appears. Search for the Foot Switch by pressing the Plus button, then tap the Foot Switch once until it blinks white. It’ll beep once paired, and a small C will display at the top of the OLED screen for as long as it has an active connection.

The Universal Battery allows the Foot Switch to work in both momentary & continuous modes – in momentary mode the battery pack will activate while touched, and with continuous mode it will activate when touched and deactivated when touched again. You can tell if the Battery is in momentary or continuous mode by looking at the decimal point in the voltage display – if it’s hollow, you are in momentary mode & if it’s filled, you’re in continuous.

This battery pack can be charged with the included USBC cable & is also compatible with the Critical Universal Battery Dock, which can charge two batteries at once, as well as the Quad dock, which holds four. Both Docks are compatible with RCA & 3.5 mm connections, so whichever version of the Universal Battery you choose will fit securely.
