An estate agency was left stuck inside a property after the owners territorial cat refused to let her leave.

Cassie Sonnentag, was preparing the house in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin, for a buyer to view but was petrified of the owners cat who stood in the doorway hissing, unwilling to let her past.

She said: "I was getting everything turned on and making sure everything looked good.

"When I came in the door, the cat was making some noise and following me around, but wasn't aggressive or mean.
