Cancún (or Cancun 2024) is a Caribbean city at the coast of the Maya Riviera in the state of Quintana Too on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. It is one of the wellknown tourist destinations of Mexico and part of the municipality of Benito Juárez. Cancún has a population of 900,000. Highlights of the city are the tourist area and the Caracol beach, the Kukulcán Boulevard, the Alacrán Temple in the Yamil Lu'um Archaeological Zone, the El Rey Archaeological Site and Puerto Juárez.
