It’s important to take the time each day for some playtime and exercise because cats love interaction from their loved ones too (especially when they’re doing something fun).

The Maine Coon is a larger and heavier cat who may accidentally knock things over without meaning to.

Grooming her coat daily will help keep it tangle free, but she’ll need regular grooming sessions as well to make certain that the fur does not become matted or tangled in knots. She should be brushed regularly at least once every day!

But don’t forget combing out those tangles too; this way you can smooth down all of that soft, thick hair for good measure.

History of the Maine Coon Cat Breed

The Maine Coon cat is considered the only longhair breed native to this country. They are speculated to have been introduced by seamen who sailed into New England and left their cats behind for a little shore leave.

The cats most likely mated with existing indigenous American breeds, creating one of its own kind which remains popular in modern days due to its large size, intelligence, playfulness and long hair that can withstand winter’s cold weathers well without getting tangled or dirty as easily!
