Looks like the commotion was all about fish delivered by Shadow
Eagles are scavengers and kleptoparasites, meaning that they often attempts to steal food from other animals. Looks like those two eagles had some interesting ideas about Shadow's fish

Shadow landed on branches below the nest while Jackie went in full defensive mode. Together, they told the intruders to better watch their steps and flight patterns.

While in danger, chicks often hunker down and lay flat in the bowl. As soon as commotion was over, Chick1 perked up and attempted to investigate what it was all about.

Chick1 hatched 3/3 16:14.
The remaining egg is over 45 days old. Unfortunately, it is not expected to hatch at this point.
