185g jar rendang curry paste
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
4 star anise
4 cardamom pods
1 lemongrass, pounded and tied in a knot
400ml coconut milk
200ml water
1 tbsp tamarind purée
5 Makrut lime leaves
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 tbsp grated palm sugar
1 cup fresh coriander leaves
Cooked rice, to serve
