We usually metal detect in a fairly large group. So whether we’re m detecting at an early American house or a colonial farm, between the number of people hunting along with hours and hours of searching normally at least one of us digs up something pretty special. Sometimes we get lucky and maybe two or three of us each dig up something really cool and we have a friendly competition for who got the best find. But occasionally there’s a day like today. Where not one, not two, but all 5 of us EACH dig up and amazing old piece and we all got to take the long drive home smiling ear to ear!
