I've been trying to breed some CPD (Celestial Pearl Danios, AKA Galaxy Rasboras) by collecting their eggs in a breeding mop and transferring them to a hangontheside breeding box.

This is so the adults don't try to eat the egg or the young fry before they have a chance to grow up.

I already have a batch from my first attempt which were born around March 18th, 2024 which I moved out of the breeding box into a grow out tank a few days ago. Since the breeding box was now available again, I decided to see about harvesting a second batch.

Today when replacing the container with the java moss breeding mop in it, I noticed there are at least 5 fry swimming around in the tank. Obviously, these were spawned in the tank and somehow avoided the parents.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see my setup and the adults and fry.
