We know that hearing a "no" (or worse getting ghosted) after an interview stings, especially when you've put your best foot forward and had high hopes. But those setbacks are just setups for comebacks!

In this video, we share four strategies to help you bounce back after job interview rejection and regain your stride:

Take a Minute to Regroup: It's okay to feel a little deflated, but don't let rejection define your journey. Take a deep breath and give yourself a minute to regroup. You're not alone in this – setbacks are universal pit stops on the road to success.
Reality Check Your Story: Let's flip the script. Take a step back and reevaluate the narrative you're telling yourself. Instead of focusing on what went wrong, celebrate the effort you put into the interview. Reflect on your strengths, acknowledge your achievements, and recognize that rejection doesn't diminish your value.
Take Stock What IS Going Well?: It's easy to get caught up in what didn't work out, but let's shift our focus to what's going right. What skills did you showcase during the interview that made you proud? What positive feedback did you receive? Recognize your accomplishments, no matter how small, and use them as building blocks for future success.
Set Good Expectations Rejection Comes with the Territory: Embrace the reality that rejection is part of the professional journey. Every "no" brings you one step closer to the right "yes." Set realistic expectations and know that landing a job is a numbers game. Fill the pipeline with multiple opportunities and when one doesn't pan out, the sting of that rejection isn't quite so hard.

Returning to work is a journey filled with twists and turns. There is a time and place to let the shock and disappointment sink in. But remember that there is a new opportunity waiting.
