Start kittens early, if you would like to have them walk on a leash. Chocolate Hershey had just turned 4 months old when he started walking on a leash that was attached to a halter. It did not take much coaching at all for Hershey to start walking right away and at times, even fast trotting to keep up with me and the cats in the stroller. It was a beautiful fall day.

We recommend before you start this with your kitten, that your kitten has at least 2 of their 3 in 1 with Leukemia vaccines, as well as their rabies vaccine. Make sure you are in a safe environment, free of roving loose dogs and any dangerous wildlife. Never leave your kitten or cat unattended outside, on a leash.
