Well this was an easy day for the Deere. I was in 2 wheel drive for 95% of the storm. Tractor did better than I did. I wasn't feeling the storm.
If I had the Kubota MX6000 and this Deere 4066R side by side in a snow storm, I guarantee the Deere would totally smoke the Kubota.
Regardless of any of that the tractor did good and made some money finally. Im looking at a new Garfield box blade for the back. Its a 10' box blade. It would need some modification to fit and id probably modify it anyways to be strictly for snow. I found one brand new for $2100.00 and then I would probably have maybe another $1000.00 in it modifying Id probably put a UHMW cutting edge in it and maybe build some skid shoes on it. Its 2' wide than my current box blade and its taller and deeper.
I thought about a wing blade for the back but its $7000.00 for a 12'. Not sure if its worth it. We don't get that much snow anymore.
Thanks fro watching. Let me know what you think on the back box blade idea.
