2016 GMC Sierra 1500 cooling fan won’t turn off temperature sensor thermostat replacement

This truck’s Radiator/ Ac Cooling fan wouldn’t turn off after shutdown, the fan sounds loud, the temperature gauge doesn’t move, possible engine light on.
Found a bad temperature sensor and replaced thermostat and antifreeze.
The engine light needs to be cleared before fan operates correctly
