済南の日本人保護を理由に、名古屋第三師団が派遣され、蒋介石の北伐軍が占拠する済南城を攻撃、1928年5月11日に城ならび市内全域を占領した済南事変第三次山東出兵の記録。城を攻略するシーンは臨場感ゆたかに活写されている。

「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」では、1913年から1941年までに製作された40作品を新たに公開いたします。今回の公開では、とりわけ1920年代後半から30年代初頭までの作品を中心に、軍国主義化が進行していく時代相が描かれているとともに、大衆文化の爛熟ぶりをうかがうこともできます。国立映画アーカイブでは、今後も随時公開作品を増やしていく予定です。ぜひサイトをお訪ねください。

With main focus on the works in late 1920s and early 1930s, the selection reflects the growing militarism while portraying matured popular culture.
