I went to the Zao fox village to see what it was really like after seeing a YouTube video about it (Rachel and Jun). About 20minutes after I arrived I witnessed feeding time (10am).

This snap shot of my time there is not the whole picture and I'd suggest not making sweeping judgements based off of a 2minute video. That's why I went to see, and judge, for myself.

Is it a fur farm?
Not to my knowledge. I saw no evidence there, or online at the time (or since) to support that. I've seen suggestion that some of the foxes have been rescued from the fur industry. I saw very young foxes there too, so I suspect they are able to breed.

Is this a good place to visit?
Umm tough one. I would be lying if I didn't say that it was lovely seeing foxes up close (they are gorgeous). Another of my videos shows a love moment I had with a fox giving me a belly display. and two playing together. It would also be disingenuous to say I felt at ease the whole time and I didn't see things I wasn't happy with.

Is this enough food?
I honestly don't know. I wasn't there long enough to see how much they were given, how often, and whether the diet varies.
