2022 was our first year on our new homestead. After searching for 2 years and over 60 properties, we found the 'one' and began working on it right away. The 60 acre property was neglected and we put our hearts and souls into turning this into OUR homestead. Nate, Katie, Kinsley and Floyd worked hard to clear the land around the house, start renovations on the 1930's farmhouse, expand our flock of chickens and ventured into additional livestock with Sheep and Pigs. Eventually we got two livestock guardian dogs, Winston and Levi. We grew our food, did mold remediation, processed our pigs and repaired outbuildings and so much more. Unfortunately, we also had some loss on the homestead; 9 chickens and, but worst of all, our Floyd (Golden Retriever). We will forever miss The Goodest of The Good Boys, The Bestest of the Best Boys, Bug Bug.'
