The day after our glacier boat tour we find an incredible scene as the salmon are running up a near by river before heading off the Kenai Peninsula for the last time. We then head into the fascinating town of McCarthy, Alaska and WrangellSt. Elias National Park. From there we explore Root Glacier and the Kennicott mining operation.
