Brigadier General Fadzillah binti Abdullah is the highestranking female officer in the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces (RMAF) and currently the Champion for Women, Peace, and Security in the institution. She joined the RMAF in 1986 after she completed her degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA. She did her basic flying training on the Pilatus PC 7 and graduated as transport pilot in August 1988 and flew the Cessna 402B. Throughout her flying career, she has flown the CN 235200M and the Beechcraft 350i. As staff officer, she has served as Director of Air Capability in the Plans and Procurement Department. Brig Gen Fadzillah has a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the New South Wales University, Australia and a diploma in Strategic and Defence Studies from University Malaysia.Prior to her present post as Director General of Defence Training in the Malaysian Armed Forces HQ, Brig Gen Fadzillah attended the National Strategic Programme at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto.
