Wire EDM, also known as wirecut EDM, wire cutting, or spark machining uses a thin electrically charged wire to cut intricate shapes into conductive materials. It works by creating a series of tiny electrical discharges (sparks) between the wire and the workpiece, which erode the metal away in a controlled manner. Adron is one of the largest providers of EDM in North America with more than 74 highspeed Mitsubishi wire EDM machines ADRON can provide rapid delivery for parts up to 10,000 lbs to parts that fit in your hand.

We also have the largest wire EDM machine available, which can handle work pieces weighing up to 10,000 lbs, with contouring capacity of 32" x 40" x 17". In addition we can wire EDM pieces that are 32 in. thick, with full taper capability. As EDM specialists, Adron utilizes all types of electrical discharge machining: submersible wire EDM, 5axis conventional, or sinker, EDM, and small hole (fast hole) EDM drilling.
