1. Cats signalling ‘Cold’

The ancestors of cats lived in hightemperature desert areas.
The trait can still be observed in modern day cats,
Living them relatively strong against heat but weak against cold,
And vulnerable to viral colds in the Winter
Domestic cats are particularly used to living indoors,
So when the tempreture fluctuates like when the season changes,
They might get bad all of a sudden so you must take extra care.
When cats feel cold,
They curl as much as possible,
Preserving their own body heat.
Also, wobbling or shaking their body and
Standing their hair up are also signs that they’re feeling cold

2. Heater Danger

Cat owners should be extra careful when using heaters.
When using oil heaters,
They may trip the heater jumping around,
Which could lead to fire.
Electric blankets requires attention as well.
Cats may stay a bit too long on the blanket and
Suffer from low temperature burns or
May bite the wires off of the blanket.
So even if your cat adores the electronic blanket,
Turn it off and Use a boiler
if you can when you leave the house.

3. Watchout for Cold

In Winter, the air gets dry easily due to the heating systems in a house.
Excessively dry air weakens the nasal mucosa,
Leaving your cat more vulnerable to cold.
It may also cause dandruffs on their skin or
Their jellyish paw pads may get blisters and dry out,
So keeping the humidity levels at 50~60% is recommended.
