In this video, Why Did I Choose An Electric Heater? [DID MY ELECTRIC BILL GO SKYHIGH] I am going to discuss my reason for choosing an electric heater.

My first reason was out of pocket cost, the electric heater and all supplies needed were roughly $390.00. The gas heater and all the supplies needed would have been $1400.00


That leaves me $1000.00 to cover the increase in my electric bill, however how long can I use the electric heater before that money is gone.

A 5000 watt electric heater uses about .65 cents every hour it runs. I timed my heater and found it will run about 96 hours a month meaning my bill increase will be about $76.00

A gas heater if it ran the same amount of time would cost me about $30.00 a month. My actual increase in out of pocket will be somewhere around $46.00 a month.

I normally use the heater for about 4 months which means I should get seven years of use before that $1000.00 is gone. That's just not a bad number to me.

Remember to Always respect the power of your power tools.
