Many autistic women I have spoken to have agreed that we have often been perceived to be twofaced or even manipulative. For us, this can be totally baffling when our intention was never to offend anyone, let alone end friendships over a misunderstanding.

In today’s video I explore why I think that is, the concept of autistic masking, people pleasing, and how we can encourage greater communication between autistic and nonautistic people.
