Awake surgery can be a scary process if you've never had it done before. For most of our lipedema patients, they will require multiple procedures and some (if not all of them) can be done under minimal sedation and local anesthesia. This means no breathing tube, no IV, and you know exactly what's going on throughout your entire procedure.
