Montreal is famous for a lot of different foods and the rivalry between which restaurants serve up the best Montreal classics is always fierce. One of these dishes is of course the iconic Montreal bagel. These bagels are characterized by their small size, density, and the classic sweetness that comes from the bagels being boiled in honey water. I decided to visit 3 of Montreal’s most famous bagel spots to see which one serves up the best Montreal bagels!

#1 Bagel StLo: I didn’t want to just compare the two most famous bagel spots (which are the next two in the tour) so I searched for more famous bagel spots online and found that one of the most famous bagel spots in Montreal is right in my community! Bagel StLo is a cute bagel shop in Verdun that has a gorgeous interior and some awesome bagel and lunch options!

#2 Fairmount Bagel: This Montreal establishment is one of the two most famous bagel spots in Montreal! I was (shockingly) trying it for the first time and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The interior is a super cute small space and the variety of bagels is unbelievable.

#3 StViateur Bagel: I have been to StViateur many times because it’s so good! I have always gotten their bagel sandwiches though because they are amazing (the “WOW!” bagel is my favourite)! This time I finally got to try their classic bagels at the original location.
