Whatever Happened To Zillow?

Zillow, the revolutionary real estate website and app, has 3x the amount of daily active users than it's nearest competitors Redfin and Realtor. Zillow was founded in 2004 by Rich Barton, and has since become the most popular real estate website and app in the United States, and has even started listing Canadian properties. However, Zillow has seen flattened revenue post pandemic, and has still not turned a net profit since 2012. Additionally, the companies stock has been on a steady decline since 2021, the company's best year in terms of revenue. The company also launched Zillow Offers, the companies home flipping venture, which failed miserably, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of losses. In this video, I go over how Zillow has become stagnant in recent years, as well as go in depth on Zillow Offers, and how it failed.

Zillow makes home and apartment buying and renting easy, for both the customer and the real estate agent. Zillow uses their "Zestimate" feature to estimate home and apartment prices, and facilitates transactions between customers and real estate agents. Zillow allows you to view properties all over the country, as well as look at stats, features, and pictures of the property. Zillow has revolutionized the home and apartment transaction process.
