What??? NO GPS Guidance Seeding the End Rows??? Montana Farming 2022

In today's video, I am feeling more comfortable seeding on my own. I see the smoke from the controlled burn of the straw pile. It is not a field fire! We finish up one field and then Darcy and I move to the next field. We have to drive our John Deere tractors and tanks and seeders to start the new field. I raise the sides of the seeding drill so I can drive it down the road. The road is very narrow and I am a bit nervous, but I make it!!!! I pull into the new field and lower the sides of the seeding drill and then I spool it to be sure there are no broken hoses or shanks. There are a lot of rocks in this field. Dad gives me some great advice. I have to do the end passes on this field with NO GPS guidance because we are actually going to seed east and west. This is a lot more challenging than it looks. I can't imagine seeding in the old days without GPS guidance to help show me what I am doing!!!! Thank you for watching my video!!!!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17yearold 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in northcentral Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag Farm to Fashion became a reality.
