Bridging the Gap Sustainable Agriculture

In today's video, I explore how we can bridge the gap between farmers and consumers to explain the importance of sustainable agriculture. I interview farmers in Upstate New York, USA, and learn about their operations and perspective on sustainable agriculture.
I speak with Pete of Just a Few Acres Farm on YouTube at the Ithaca Farmers Market. Pete shares a little bit about his livestock farm and why he believes it is so important to learn about where and how your food is grown. Walter Schweitzer, President of Montana Farmers Union shares why he believes it is so important to support family farms. Finally, I speak with Thor Oeschner an organic farmer from Newfield New York. Thor shares about his operation and perspective on sustainable agriculture.

Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed my first video back!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18yearold 4thgeneration Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in northcentral Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
