What Native Americans think of 'Native' Depictions

Here I dive into a little bit of Media Theory to look at how Native Audiences receive depictions of natives in films and media. Hopefully this can help all of us from various backgrounds to decode the depictions of our own people and cultures in popular media.
A lot of this is based on the work of Stuart Hall.

As stated here, is Russell Means' interview on his negotiated take on his involvement in Pocahontas.
