In this video, Jon Gevelinger explains what the judge is looking for during a showmanship class. With showmanship, the judge's focus is on the exhibitor, rather than the calf. Things they're going to look at include your posture, how you lead and hold your show stick, the way you set up your calf, how you transition from moving to standing still, etc. Keep in mind that showmanship begins before you even step in the ring. As soon as the judge can look over and see you in the makeup area, they'll be judging your presence.
