In 2012, JHS released the first version of the Superbolt, an ampinabox pedal meant to give you the sounds of an old Supro amp. Mason Stoops had always loved that sound and picked one up immediately. Around 2015, Josh sent Mason a customprinted Superbolt with a taco on it, but there was a surprise. We had set the trim pots incorrectly and created an interesting gated fuzz effect. We made a mistake, but Mason loved it! Now it’s time to say goodbye to the Superbolt, but in celebration of its life, we’re releasing a limited edition version tuned to the original “incorrect” specs of Mason’s TacoBolt.
