Gnomes. Chthonic entities of the deep mind. gods and spirits from European folklore, similar to dwarves, also existing as spirits in renaissance magic and alchemy.

They also appear in Norse and Germanic stories, myth and folklore as underworld dwelling entities and also arguably emissaries of the unconscious.

This is an introduction to the subterranean gods known as gnomes, followed by a story from Grimm's fairy tales featuring the little chaps.
