Western Sydney Pack at the Farm

The Farm

We started the day celebrating Toby the Kelpie’s 3rd birthday! Toby chose a birthday sleepover for his special day and he arrived last night extremely excited! He couldn’t stop wiggling his body letting us know how happy he was to be sleeping over! In the morning we woke up and went for an early play in the playground before the bus full of all his best mates arrived for the day. After an extra play he enjoyed a delicious birthday brekky pupcake which he loved! Happiest of birthday to you Toby!!

After Toby’s birthday breakfast the bus arrived. Super excited to jump off the bus, the Western Sydney pack was straight into the action! These guys only come once a fortnight so when it’s farm day they’re pumped for a really big day of jamming as much fun in as possible!

We then talked about our good friend Lulu the Boxer...

For Lulu the Boxer her farm journey has been about gaining confidence. Lulu’s first couple of Farm Trips were spent on the outskirts, afraid of anything that came close. A year later and Lulu is a powerhouse at everything we do at the farm. She’s even competition for Duke the Whippet, and that’s no mean feat.

Here’s some words from Lulu’s Mumma:

My Lu was an impulsive want, growing up with boxers and loving their effervescent outlook on life, I wanted to have some of that love in my world, I bought her on mother’s day, so she will always be the symbol of me doing something wholly and solely for me and she is now the most influencing aspect in my life. It is her and me against the world (my children have grown and been set free on the world).

Everyday she greets me with her selected toy of the moment and of course that boxer wiggle is really coming into it’s own. And her most favourite activity, outside of farm days is her football, she just loves chasing that ball.

I would like to thank you for helping to make Lulu the best she can be. I can see how she has relaxed into her farm days.
I can reflect on how I have bought her up to this point in her life and see how the past experiences/incidents have formed her and I see the choices moving forward will also make an impact on her.

The job that you do goes beyond giving the dogs a day of play, the socialisation and behavioural skills you are teaching them is immeasurable towards making them happy well adjusted poopalahs.

Little miss Lu is my love, my life and I want her to have the best life (the kids won’t give me grandchildren, so she is my indulgence) and you and your team are a part of creating that for her.

Today we also celebrated Murphy the Kelpie’s 3rd birthday. Murphy chose the quad run with a few of his close mates; Jack, Lulu and Toby. They all felt pretty special having some extra time racing Luke in the big paddock. Happiest of birthday to you Murphy!

We ended the day in the pool. Etta the Pug gave us her heart warming leaps of faith into Luke’s arms and Murphy jumped in the pool for the very first time today! Well done Murph! We then headed to the locker room, turned the heater on and had hot baths and blow dries!
