Small Dog Day at the farm

Follow
The Farm

Taz the Cavoodle yawned and stretched, waking up to a brand new day at the farm ... Small Dog Day!

When the bus arrived the passengers erupted with excitement. Old boy Charlie climes in the bus to greet all the small dogs today and boy were they happy to see him.

We welcomed Milo the Chocolate Cocker Spaniel puppy’s litter brother Rolo to the pack today. Rolo was straight into Uncle Luke snuggles, he’d heard all about this farm place from his brother over the last couple of weeks when they meet up at the park. Milo has said many good things about it and Rolo was keen to get into all the fun.

Adam brought down the box of small dog toys Sylvia had sent us. Luke opened the box with all the doggies and they loved them, lots of squeaky ones which are their favourite!

It was hot day today at the farm, 30 degrees Celsius, so we spent the day in the shade and swimming in the pool and dam. Even Uncle Jason got in the dam with the dogs for a swim.

In the swimming pool, everyone got in for a swim. There’s lots of dogs that wear life jackets on small dog day and for so many reasons. The young puppies need them, breeds that require some assistance (Brachycephalic, Mini Dachshunds etc) dogs that just aren’t great swimmers yet, even small dogs that actually swim a lot but their body shape or size might be challenging in the water and therefore they can get exhausted, life jackets can also be a confidence booster ... there’s many reasons which is why we have so many.

At the end of the day, the Small Dogs put on their Canadian bandannas from Aunty Debbie. They looked amazing and they all trotted off with Uncle Luke, Uncle Jason and Uncle Rodney to board the bus. On the way home they all sleep, dreaming of the days adventures. Then at their bus stop they wake up and greet their pawrents excited to tell them all about their wonderful day!
